Conflict of Nations: World War 3
A modern grand strategy game that ticks for weeks and is better played twice a day than left open.

What you do
Take a country, run its economy and research, and fight up to a hundred other players on a map that keeps moving while you sleep. Units take hours to cross Europe, so an attack planned on Tuesday lands on Thursday, and coalitions decide most rounds before the tanks do.
What a week costs you
Fifteen to forty-five minutes, morning and evening, for the length of a round. Miss a day and you will find out what your neighbours thought of that. This is the one game on the shelf that is a commitment, and we think it earns it.
What the shop sells
Gold speeds things up and shows in the last third of a close round. Most rounds we played were settled by activity and diplomacy long before anyone opened the shop.
Who it suits
People who enjoy planning more than clicking, and who can give a round a fortnight. Spend your first round learning how supply and morale interact and judge it on the second.
- Respects a working week, twice a day
- Coalitions decide games
- Deep unit roster with nothing to install
- Gold shows late in a round
- First round is confusing
